An Anagama Wood fired Chawan Tea bowl. Thrown and decorated with a traditional fish scale pattern applied with a homemade padel. The Fish scale pattern repeats in my work and is a reference to my passion for the counties river ecosystems and especially the plight of the North Yorkshire Salmon.  Glazed on the inside with an Nuka Ash glaze made with ash from my studio fire with a raw clay/fly ash finish on the exterior.
